Great news, I'm going to Grad School for Interior Design this fall (part time)!!!! It has taken me a long time to decide to go back to school, as I have debated whether I really need school vs. can't I just develop my eye for design and bypass school? Now it seemed like a no brainer: My work will pay and while we live in Tallahassee I might as well study what I know I already love.
Do students wear backpacks still? I used to love a good backpack and below are some options I available on etsy.

Love that stripe one! Super cute!

I don't anymore only because my book bag looks like I am about to blaze a trail across Alaska. But I might reconsider this fall if these cute little things are hanging next to Jansport and Lisa Frank.
ReplyDeleteI got my undergrad in Interior Design at FSU and the grad students were in our same classes - you're making the right choice (I'm assuming your going to FSU)! It's a wonderful program and it's a necessary degree to receive your liscensing once you get out of school. Good luck with everything! I hope you do some posts about your experience so I can relive it with you! :)
ReplyDeleteVery exciting!!! I've been considering grad studies in Interior Design after I get my BFA. And I would definitely carry one of those bags to school! Best wishes for your studies :)
ReplyDeleteI might need one for me :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't even know how I stumbled across this post, but those are great backpacks! I prefer to carry a backpack, especially if I have heavy stuff (gigantic laptop in particular) but I have yet to find a nice-looking backpack that is a useable size. I'd take any of those!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, cute won't be a factor once you see all the crap you have to carry around for your first semester of design school. Most people I knew ended up with some sort of rolling bag. Between the drafting supplies, the pantone color fan/paint fan, the text books, fabrics and stone or tile samples, you feel like hiring a sherpa seems like a feasible idea. Congrats on making the decision to go back to school. You won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Ash...go get that license!
