Oh, this is gonna happen.

I have a child that does not understand the concept of going down stairs. He also moves FAST these days, so baby proofing has become a priority. I started to research baby gates, and after being underwhelmed by google, I turned to pinterest and found some great ideas I've posted below. Stay tuned because I think I might be creating a version of the first gate:

I would opt for something less Mediterranean for our home, but I like the idea of using an iron gate:
