Kelly Wearstler Love.

Did you know Kelly Wearstler has a blog?
It's true. (thanks Jen Smith). Here are pictures of her work room and it's positively insane.
She organizes her clients work in trays. I adore the selections she has for a client in Miami.

I browsed her website. I fell for the Viceroy Anguilla:

Kelly used less color and print than she typically uses. (and that's probably why I'm drawn to it).

I adore this bedside antiqued mirror with a sconce. A sexy outdoor shower. Here's Kelly's design at Bergdorf Goodman (which has been added to my itinerary for my next trip to NYC)

I do not consider myself to be a "pink kind of girl" but this glossy front door has me thinking pink with killer hardware would look great on our gray brick exterior.

I love this gold swirl. (Part of her product line for Sferra)
I realize I am terribly late to join the Kelly Wearstler fan club, but I am smitten.

Pretty.

Let's look at the trim around those windows. Marble? Love it.

Opening a barn for events is on my dream list.

This is my kind of picnic.

See, barns are for lovers.
Gorgeous.

Great faucet and tub, I want to jump in. I also want to touch up the paint on the back wall. Someone else might find that charming...

Adorable. I am anti-dog-in-your-purse, but I'd want to take him with me too.
All images above from bippity boppity boo. I got lost her in her tumblr last night.

500 Pieces of Prudent Advice...

Are you familiar with the blog turned book "500 Pieces of Prudent Advice for my Baby Daughter"? I discovered this gem-of-a-blog a while back [post here] and loved both the idea and the advice given. Now, it's in print.

My friend Beth [who finally put a blog together- she's a great writer and you'll want to follow her] sent me this pic/text yesterday:

We're published! This was my contribution:

#157 If you want to leave a party and you don't have a good excuse, spill something on yourself.

Jaime's blog is a great read and I can't wait to own her book. My mom did something similar for me when I graduated from high school. She had the meaningful people in my life: family, mentors, teachers, other moms, etc... write me a letter with their advice and then she had it bound in a book. I love it and was humbled by the thought that went into it.

Glee.

Do you watch Glee? If so, do you think Emma Pillsbury is the cutest thing on TV? I certainly do.
There is a faithful blogger who stalks the wardrobe of the cast, specifically Emma Pillsbury and posts where to find the outfits.

It's as adorable as Ms. Emma Pillsbury herself.

Which side do you air on?

I almost always pick the house. If given $100 dollars, I'd probably buy a lamp or fabric before I spent the money on shoes. It's just how I'm wired. via: Bottom of the Ironing Basket

Events Overload.

I am multitasking at a very fast pace today, but this is the way I prefer to operate - with more to do than can be complete in a day. There are a lot of event details that I need to take care of for work, but I do not want to forget to pass along some wonderful tutorials I've seen on the blogs.
First, from Once Wed fabric poms. These are so precious I'm sure I will be making these to keep on hold for a wedding or baby shower or simply to hang them from my ceiling for any occasion. Next up, an Ice Cream Parlour from Eat Drink Chic

Behind.

I feel a bit behind {or lazy- it's a fine line} this week- my nail polish is chipped, I have stacks of laundry scattered around my house, our guest room sheets are dirty, I am still trying to pull Halloween costumes together and we are having 4-6 people stay with us this weekend. All I can focus on is crossing off my to-do list when I leave my desk.

I am taking off tomorrow to hang out with the best friend, Tiffany. So I'll leave you some of my favorite things I've enjoyed this week:

1. Playing with the work camera and photographing Teri's cute outfits
2. My Coastal Living November Issue featuring this clever sleeping nook. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with adding nail heads. Check it here.

3. My crush with ikat is not diminishing, these ikat pillows available via fabricadabra

4. Jen's clever interview layout, with yours truly.

5. Receiving a lovely blog award from the oh-so-gracious Jade Keller.

TGIF.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Go have a twirl in the sunlight, Read a book,

Curl your hair,

Take your dog to the beach,

Whatever you do, make it a good one!

Repurpose.

I have noticed a common idea floating around the world wide web of how to re-purpose painters drop cloths. Fellow blogger, Britt, from A Penny Saved used them as curtains: {You should scroll through her projects when you get a moment. Her work and creativity is awfully inspiring}

I think it is so clever to use the cloths as panels because they are heavy and they come hemmed. Because of my unending love of ruffles, I might take them one step further and add a strip of ruffles on the inside panel like I did for my dining room curtains.

See instructions on how to here.

Country Living added painted stripes and used them as tablecloths.

All uses are so clever, affordable and stylish.

Sharing.

I am not one to withhold good information. {This is different than a secret. If you say "Ashley, you cannot tell anyone this but blah blah blah- I am a vault, just so you know}
So, I'm sharing a beautiful blog with you: The Bottom of the Ironing Basket. This gal is from London and has a fantastic eye for beauty. Here are a few snippets of her collected images that had me ready to throw a party in my backyard, travel to Europe and buy an outfit that is entirely too fashionable for Tallahassee.

I cannot wait to give her blog the proper attention it deserves- which would be to start from the end and scroll to the beginning. Enjoy!
