Art is Up.

I've been working with a family on their new home for several months now. They love art, which is great because I usually default to mirrors, but a home can only have so many mirrored surfaces. We needed to spruce up the entry and this gave us a perfect space to introduce some artwork. I envisioned mounting this canvas by Leigh Viner on top of an existing frame I had. The I had a thin piece of plywood cut down to size at Home Depot, painted it black and hung the canvas on top. I was worried this might look strange, because it is not how art is typically mounted and hung, but we took the risk and I love how it turned out. The black gives the entry the drama this wall needed.
