New Front Door.

This is happening:
We're getting a new front door.

It's ordered and I have been debating colors and hardware. I always gravitate towards blue.
I also love the additional millwork surrounding the door, but for now we'll call that phase two.

Check out this hardware.

I asked Tony if we could paint the door pink. I think it would look smashing on our light grey brick. He entertained that question for a whole 1 second and said, "No, we do not live in a dollhouse."
I also am eye-ing the hardware details like an oversized ring pull and mail slot.

I'll keep you posted.

I think I have most of these pinned...I mentioned pink for our new (actually old) but new to me, front door and my husband took about a second to say something similar, but not nearly as funny...or memorable.

This is my first opportunity to visit this website. I found some interesting things and I will apply to the development of my blog. Thanks for sharing useful information.

Well, pink can be a good color, too. But I think you need some convincing powers to persuade Tony! But my vote goes to color blue. It is cool and easy in the eyes. But I think you can play with the shades and tone to get the color you desire. Just make sure it matches the overall design and look of your house.

The secret to a good exterior door installation is to make it water tight. See how to install exterior doors and windows properly at Gulf Coast Windows.

Pink would be a very interesting choice. But I think I would prefer yellow or blue. The front door initially gives the guests or visitors the first statement of how the house is. Blue would give a calm and peaceful greeting to any guest or passerby.

Hello there! Are there any updates on the door? Did you ever go for the pink one? Keven is right that it would be pretty interesting. :D I’m deciding on a new door now, and I think I’ll go with the big ring and mail slot myself.
