Getting Older.

One of my New Years resolutions was to make my health a priority. I do not mean I want to lose 10 pounds or diet for a couple of weeks; I simply want to take a multivitamin every day and finally see a doctor about my recurring headaches.
I thought a good starting point, for the headaches, would be to see an optometrist. When I went yesterday, the doc exclaimed "No wonder you are in pain, you have a large astigmatism in your left eye; I guarantee you contacts will make your headaches go away." I needed no more persuasion and now I am sporting contacts. While it is a struggle to put them in/take them out, the thought of not experiencing headaches will make me try anything.

Now, because I think blog readers are smart and savvy in product experimentation, does anyone have a recommendation for dark under eye circles (that will not break the bank)? Winter is a bad time of year for me. I lose my tan and my blond hair blends in with my pale skin, making these dark circles stand out. My friend Jovanna recommends clinique repairwear intensive eyes but I would love additional suggestions.

I promise I'll be back tomorrow with less personal items and more design related posts. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

i am obsessed with this line:
"yes to carrots"

you can afford it easily and conveniently at target:

it smells like crisp earth
and makes skin ultra soft,
too.

Not that I see ANY dark circles, but maybe the ones that YOU are caused by your astigmatism??? Do you think that is possible? I cannot believe I didn't think of vision and headaches---duh!

ashy- I can help you with the contacts.. I wore them for 16 years!

I am glad you got the headache mystery solved and that you didn't have to make it all the way to the neurologist.

Hey, today I bought a pill box. A Sunday-Saturday one that I will keep in my purse with all my vitamins. I find that I forget them at home so often and by the time I remember, it's night time and I don't want to do it then b/c it could keep me awake. Anyway, Publix $1.99 good investment!

I use Lancome Vitabolic eye cream. It's instant, but has a strong vitiman smell.

Not sure if you were looking for a really good concealer vs. a vitamin-filled cream. I have awful under eye circles and my FAVORITE thing to use is the tinted eye brightener from Bobbi Brown. Now, it does NOT come cheap ($38 for a small tube), but it's the only item I splurge on because it is so, so good. Everything else I use is from the drug store, but I need to bring out the big guns for under eye circles, and this product does the job wonderfully! If you visit the counter they will show you how to use it - or you can go to test it to see what you think!

I also get reoccuring headaches and have been meaning to go to the eye doctor as I do believe mine are also related to vision ~ thanks for inspiring me to do so

I'm also fair-skinned and blonde, and I really like Nars under eye concealer (it comes like a stick of lipstick) over any great under eye cream. Works wonders~

I just bought Amazing Concealer at Ulta......it is FABULOUS.....I have the dark ring on fair skin dilemma too....It doesn't cake and looks perfect. :-) After years and years of searching I'm impressed.

Warm blessings,
Spencer
